Nothing ever appears the same way twice. Layers of periodic variation ranging from the perceptible to the imperceptible. This is a static work. The development is in the micro-scale listening environment, where unsynced periodic variations of waveform and amplitude form a minimal counterpoint against field recordings. Folded and inter-modulated sine waves pan around the stereo field alongside obfuscated recordings of synthesized and manufactured materials: recycled plastic bags, from chemical synthesis; a metal sheet, manufactured from Bauxite ore; and an oscillating fan, itself composed of plastic and metal, which generates artificial wind to disturb the amplified objects. In this environment, nothing ever repeats exactly; we spin in spirals between stasis and novelty to graph how far we come.
